JENNY Peacock, of Warners Bay, is one baby boomer who thinks she will find herself working on past retirement age, but not through choice.
For Ms Peacock, who works as a receptionist in Newcastle, it will be a financial necessity."I don't think I will be able to retire at 55, that is only four years away," she said.Ms Peacock said she could see herself having to work for at least another 10 years. She is one of many boomers who worked through the transition between the age pension and superannuation."When we first started work, superannuation wasn't a big issue, we didn't get the start that people get now," Ms Peacock said.Getting divorced has also worked against her, she said.
